Aluminum Maxi Blinds provide the most durable window coverage
for any horizontal aluminum blind products made. The 2” Maxi
Blinds offer a more than ample 2” x 2” headrail, heavy- duty
component system, along with resilient 2” width, 8 gauge
aluminum slats that will provide years of trouble free service.
Savannah’s near invisible braided ladder creates a more
contemporary look, while Panama’s cloth or vinyl tapes can be
both traditional and nostalgic. Fashion is not compromised in
these high-performing blinds; both Savannah and Panama can give
any project a unique look with flair of boldness.

Specifications
1.
Signature Series/Savannah and Panama headrail is “U” shaped
configuration; dimensions are 2”h. x 2 1/4”d., with rolled
edges at the top. Fabricated steel is 0.024” thick (before
paint) and iron phosphate treated. Headrail is acrylic primed
with a finish coat of baked polyester enamel.
a. Headrail incorporates steel end stiffeners with adjustable
tabs for reinforcement.
2. Operating hardware is snap-in design. Tape roll and tape roll
support are made of acetyl low friction thermoplastic, which are
self lubricating and maintenance free for smooth operation and
diminished wear on lift cord and ladder.
3. Crash-proof cord lock is a snap-in design that has a nylon
roller, which the cord smoothly passes over. A secured steel
roller onto a hinged lock facilitates “crash-proof” feature.
“Crash-proof” safety feature locks the blind automatically
whenever the cord is released.
4. Savannah and Panama are available with either wand or
optional cord tilter. Wand tilter is a precise,
self-lubricating, thermoplastic worm and gear mechanism, with a
fully enclosed plastic housing. Optional cord tilter utilizes a
corrosion resistant steel worm and gear system, enclosed in a
metal alloy body. The cords operate smoothly by an incorporated
pulley and cord guide.
5. Tilt rod is square in shape, composed of solid steel and
implements an instant tilting action. Diameter is 1”.
6. Aluminum slats are manufactured of ZMC ALCOA Aeroflex 5086
aluminum alloy. Slats are nominally 2” in width a thickness of
.008 gauge.
7. Braided ladder and cloth tapes; braided ladder is constructed
of polyester yarn with a double crossed inter-braided design for
maximum slat support. Ladder spacing between the slats is 44mm.
Cloth tapes are constructed of a high strength rayon cotton
blend. Spacing is 1 3/8”; width dimensions are 1 11/16”.
Optional vinyl tape is available.
8. Lift cords are constructed of a braided polyester jacket with
a rayon center core. Diameter of cord is 1.8mm
9. Bottomrail is fully enclosed and is made of sculptured roll
formed steel for maximum strength, with a double lock seam,
contoured to match the slat curvature. Fabricated steel
bottomrail is 0.024” thick (before paint) and iron phosphate
treated. Bottomrail is acrylic primed with a finish coat of
polyester baked enamel to color coordinate with headrail, slats
and support brackets. Thermoplastic end caps are color
coordinated with bottom rail.
10. Steel installation brackets are designed with a hinged
cover. Brackets are inside coated with a wash coat of polyester
enamel. Then finished coated with baked polyester enamel to
color coordinate with headrail, slats and bottomrail.
Intermediate support brackets are furnished with blinds over
48” wide. |
