1” Mini Blinds

Catalina 8 and 6, 1” aluminum mini blinds incorporate the best features available in the industry today. Throughout our Signature Series blind line, we exclusively use only reverse roll finished ZMC Metal Coating “Dust-less” aluminum in a wide range of designer colors. Our durable 1" x 1 1/2” steel headrail allows us to utilize a highly reliable heavy-duty snap in component system. Catalina blinds perform flawlessly with our snap-in designed clutch tilters, low friction thermoplastic tape drums and crash-proof safety cord locks with the built in cord separator feature.  Color coordinated plastic components are an added compliment to Catalina Blinds. Furthermore, Catalina 8 and 6 blinds are available with several ladder spacing options to accommodate varying budget requirements.

Product Specifications

1. Signature Series/Catalina headrail is a “U” shaped configuration, dimensions are 1” h. x 1 1/2”d. with rolled edges at the top. Fabricated steel is 0.024” thick (before paint) and iron phosphate treated. Headrail is acrylic primed with a finish coat of baked polyester enamel.  
a. Headrail incorporates steel end stiffeners with adjustable tabs for reinforcement.
2. Operating hardware is of snap-in design. Tape roll and tape roll supports are made of acetyl, low friction thermoplastic, which are self lubricating and maintenance free for smooth operation and diminished wear on lift cords and braided ladder.
3. Crash-proof cord lock is a snap-in design, metal alloy bodied unit. The cord smoothly passes over a Delrin plastic roller, and a floating geared roller, which initiates the safety feature and automatically locks the blind whenever the cord is released. Cord lock is equipped with a built in cord separator that prevents multiple cords from twisting as they enter through the cord lock.
4. Precise clutch tilter holds the slats at any angle without movement. Fully enclosed housing and worm and gear system is constructed of clear thermoplastic.
5. Tilt rod is hexagonal in shape, with a 1/4” diameter at its widest point. Tilter is composed of solid steel and implements an instant tilting action.
6. Aluminum slats are manufactured of ZMC ALCOA Aeroflex 5086 aluminum alloy. Slats are nominally 1” in width and are available in both .006 and .008 gauge thicknesses.
7. Braided ladder is constructed of polyester yarn with a double crossed inter-braided design for maximum slat support. Ladder spacing between the slats is 21.5mm, with an optional 20 or 22.5mm spacing available.
8. Lift cords are constructed of a braided polyester jacket with a rayon center core. Diameter of cord is 1.4mm.
9. Bottom rail is made of sculptured roll formed steel, which is fully enclosed by utilizing an integrated locking groove to accommodate a color-coordinated dust cover. Fabricated steel is 0.24” thick (before paint) and iron phosphate treated. Bottomrail is acrylic primed with a finish coat of polyester baked enamel. Thermoplastic end caps and tape retainers are color compatible with bottomrail.
10. Steel installation brackets are designed with a hinged cover and an integrated rolled safety lip at the bottom plate.  Brackets are inside coated with a wash coat of polyester enamel. Then finish coated with baked polyester enamel to color coordinate with headrail, slats and bottomrail. Intermediate support brackets are furnished with blinds over 60” wide.
